Butker came into Super Bowl 58 having made five field goals in his previous three Super Bowl appearances.
With four field goals against the San Francisco 49ers, Butker hurdled Stephen Gostkowski of the New England Patriots and Adam Vinatieri of the Patriots and Indianapolis Colts to become the Super Bowl’s all-time leader in field goals made with nine.Butker’s fourth field goal came with 3 seconds on the clock and sent the game into overtime.
Gostkowski got to seven field goals in in six Super Bowls played, while Vinatieri did it in five. This is Butker’s fourth.

Butker etched his name in Super Bowl history with a third quarter field goal that got the Chiefs within 10-6.
Butker’s 57-yard field goal topped Jake Moody’s record for the longest in Super Bowl history, a mark that Moody held for less than two quarters.He made his debut during a Week 4 game on Oct. 2 against Washington and made 3 of 4 field goals, with a long of 43 yards. Butker went on to make 38 field goals, setting an NFL record for most makes by a rookie.
