Simone Biles used to be the most famous person in Jordan Chiles’ contacts. Unfortunately for the USA Gymnastics star, someone else has stolen that honor away from her.

However, Biles can’t really complain or argue that she’s more popular despite her status as the gymnastics GOAT. After all, the person she’s up against is another GOAT himself: NBA icon and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
Chiles shared the story on how she has transitioned from having Biles as the most popular contact in her phone to His Airness, and how funny the whole thing is for her.

“It’s so funny cause now I can say that, but it’s even funnier because the first time somebody asked me, I was like, ‘Oh Simone Biles,” Chiles said in the Chicks in the Office podcast when discussing the frequent question about the famous person in their contacts.

“I was like, cause, that’s really the most famous person I had in my phone at the time, so now being able to say that [it’s now Michael Jordan] is pretty funny.”

Jordan Chiles also opened up about receiving a text from Michael Jordan leading up to the Olympics. For those who missed it, the 23-year-old gymnast shared last July how the Bulls great wished her luck and told her that he’s “excited” to watch her “win a gold medal.”

Recalling the moment, as well as all the supportive messages he received before and after the Olympics, Chiles highlighted that it’s really “cool” to see.

“It felt really cool, I’m not going to lie. From all these people contacting me before I even left to ending literally my floor routine, getting a medal, I was like, ‘Yo this is crazy,'” Chiles furthered in the interview, which was filmed just a couple of days after the Olympics ended.

Chiles did clarify at the time that Jordan had yet to contact her again following the Paris Games. It will definitely be interesting to know if Jordan has already reached out since a lot has happened in the weeks since.
