Katie Price WANTS to be jailed so she can cash in on interviews behind bars, claim friends of the reality star – after a judge ordered her to appear in court and not go abroad again
Katie Price has told friends she wants to be jailed so can she can cash in on interviews behind bars.
The former glamour model, 46, is supposedly hoping to be handed a prison sentence after she was arrested for failing to attend court over her ongoing £760,000 bankruptcy court proceedings.
Friends of the reality TV star told The Sun that she believes being jailed could attract more publicity through media interviews and provide some compelling stories for a new book.
Her time inside could also allow her to conduct some useful research for a future TV show, one source added.
The prospect of Price being jailed was sparked following her arrest at Heathrow Airport on Thursday night as she returned to the UK after undergoing her sixth facelift in Turkey.
On Friday, Price turned up on foot through the main entrance wearing a beige outfit and black head covering to conceal her injuries caused by the £10,000 procedure.
Deputy Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Daniel Schaffer ordered the model to give an ‘undertaking’ to the court that she would attend a further hearing to face questions over her finances on August 27 at 10.30am.
Ms Price asked the judge whether she could attend the hearing remotely as she said she finds it ‘difficult in a court’, saying: ‘Am I able to do it by Zoom or in a side room?’
‘No,’ the judge replied, adding that she could apply to attend remotely and ‘it does not take Einstein to do it’.

Pictures show her head patched up in dressings following the procedure – her sixth facelift – which the model is understood to have had at the Trio Clinic in Istanbul.
Her court appearance comes after an arrest warrant was issued by a judge after she failed to attend a hearing relating to her enormous £760,000 debt.
Price previously said she was ‘not running from matters’, but was ‘away working for a documentary on corrective surgeries’ during the court hearing.
