Kim Kardashian Criticized Taylor Swift for Drinking in Public
diss track that appears to target the reality star.
The song is featured on Swift’s new album, which many believe is about the SKIMS founder. On Friday (April 19), American pop sensation Taylor Swift released her latest project Just two hours after unveiling TTPD, she surprised fans with a second album featuring an additional 15 songs. One track, Thank You Aimee, stylized as thanK you aIMee, quickly caught the attention of listeners who speculated it was penned with Kim Kardashian in mind.
The song, which capitalizes the letters spelling ‘Kim’, includes some biting lyrics that seem to take jabs at Kardashian. “There’s a bronze spray-tanned statue of you and a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school,” Swift croons in the opening verse of the song.
She has previously opened up about her long-standing and strained feud with Kim, describing how it “took her down psychologically”. The lyrics further elaborate: “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed “F*ck you, Aimee.Another hint that the song might be about Kim is when Taylor sings: “I don’t think you’ve changed much / And so I changed your name, and any real defining clues.”
Kardashian fans and critics have shared their opinions on Reddit in response to Taylor’s track. One user wrote: “Haha Taylor is petty AF but let’s be honest Kim will be LOVING this, in her eyes it means she’s still ‘relevant’.”
