When Kanye West stormed the stage at the 2009 VMAs and grabbed the mic from Taylor Swift, no one could have guessed that would be the beginning of more than a decade-long feud between the two artists.
The years have seen Taylor, Kanye and — eventually — his wife, Kim Kardashian, make amends only to start beefing again, a true frenemieship filled with ups and downs, olive branches and Twitter rants.
On Friday, Swift seemingly threw fuel on the fire again with the release of her double album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, surprise track, “thanK you aIMee.”
Swifties speculated that the song was a not-so-subtle dig at Kardashian due to the obvious capitalization in the title spelling “KIM.”
